There’s no zero-star option, or that’s what I’d give it. When we reached Sorrento, we couldn’t find the hotel, only a sign on a building door with a phone number. We called over and over without an answer and spent hours waiting to be checked in. Four hours went by while we sat in a bar with our suitcases. Our travel agency in Buenos Aires finally sorted it out and found us another hotel. The place is also down an alley with garbage cans outside. Horrible. Don’t even consider booking here.

The price keeps changing. I called last week and was told 40, but today it’s 50. Rude, crafty people...

A good base for a three- or four-night stay while visiting the Amalfi Coast.
