BB Il Giglio Bianco

The room was big enough for a couple, and there’s a small fridge, a pleasant balcony with a nice view, and a shared kitchen area where you can make coffee or tea and use the cutlery. It’s a 16-minute walk from Sorrento station and also within walking distance of the main streets and beach. The room cleaning and towel changes were a nice offer, and we stayed four nights. The bed was awful: two single mattresses pushed together, and the pillows weren’t comfortable either. My neck still hurts. The shower was a reasonable size for one person but leaked, and at first the toilet wouldn’t flush properly. We had to try two or three times. There’s no lift to the third floor, so expect to carry your things upstairs and back down. Breakfast was just a couple of pastries with tea or coffee, so I wouldn’t pay extra for it. The service was so-so. When we asked for help with problems, the man, whose name I don’t remember, looked at us as though we’d ruined his day. It wasn’t worth what we paid, though Sorrento itself felt overpriced too.
