Hotel Belair

The art throughout the hallways made the artists' vision and inspiration easy to feel, and there was fabulous art all the way to our beautiful room. The hotel had thought through everything, from the technology to the amazing cuisine, served with so much joy. Our room and balcony were beautiful, and the pool was gorgeous. The staff helped with every part of our trip and made things easy. Bravo, bravo, bravo! Thank you so much. Sorrento is exquisite, and staying at our lovely hotel made it even sweeter.

The view is breathtaking, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. It takes about 15 minutes to walk downtown Sorrento, where there are lots of cute shops and restaurants. Everyone on staff was so nice. We had an amazing few days and will definitely book again.

Annalisa made our visit so much fun, especially when we surprised our friends who were staying there. Her hospitality felt genuine, and she clearly loves her work. I really appreciated the care she showed her guests. Thank you.

The bar and wait staff were kind and very friendly, but the front desk issue spoiled what had otherwise been a really good stay. For a five star hotel, the way this was handled was absolutely unacceptable. Management needs to communicate better. Grand Hotel la Favorita is similarly priced and gave us the kind of five star experience we expected, including the basics of communicating with guests. On our first night, I asked the front desk about a private transfer from Positano back to the hotel the next day. They gave me a price range, said they'd check availability because it was short notice, and told me they'd get back to me. They never did. With no update that anything had been arranged, I assumed there was no availability and booked other transport ourselves. That evening, someone called our room to say a driver was waiting at the location we'd supposedly booked. We'd received no booking confirmation at all. This led to a back and forth over who should pay the driver, who'd been caught up in the confusion. I said I wouldn't pay unless they could show that the hotel had sent confirmation after booking. They couldn't. Instead, they locked us out of our room and made us agree to pay, still without giving us any confirmation. They argued that asking for a private transfer meant they'd arrange it, as if that told us whether we'd actually have a ride back. We had no paperwork, company name, driver details, nothing. They also claimed they'd confirmed it when I first asked, around 2:00 PM. But the WhatsApp thread they showed me had the booking happening around 5:00 PM. When I asked for proof they'd forwarded that confirmation to us after booking, they had none. Even so, they doubled down and blamed us for not asking them to cancel a service we'd never been told was booked.
