The proprietor was warm and easy to talk to, which made this little B&B feel even more charming. It sits behind a stone wall and iron gate among lemon and orange trees. The rooms are simple and clean, and Sorrento’s main shopping area is about a 15-minute walk along pretty streets. Breakfast comes with fresh-squeezed juice from the garden trees, and there’s homemade limoncello to try in the afternoon.

The bedroom had lovely views, and the whole place felt homey and authentic. Carolina runs the B&B with help from her son, and Steve the resident cat is part of the welcome. It’s set among lemon and orange groves, around a 15-minute walk from central Sorrento. Breakfast was a treat each morning, served in Carolina’s cosy kitchen or out on the terrace among the lemon trees. The food came from her garden, including some of the best tomatoes we’ve had, and she even found a proper teapot for us Brits. Carolina doesn’t speak much English, but she’s so warm and charming that chatting with her was fun anyway. One evening she invited us to share her homemade limoncello, and we had a lovely conversation. She felt like our own Italian Nonna. We’d happily stay at Carolina’s B&B again if we return to Sorrento.

Carolina, the owner, was friendly, and we chatted briefly over a simple but tasty continental breakfast in her kitchen. The room was clean and roomy, with a pleasant balcony. It’s a short walk to the town centre. If you’re after a straightforward, affordable stay in Sorrento, this place is an easy choice.
