The owners were kind and helpful, and everything we needed was close at hand, including parking and reasonably priced groceries. The town centre and gym are about a 10-minute walk away. We loved the windows: open them and you can hear the sea from bed, close them and it’s quiet again. The air conditioning was well placed and worked perfectly when we used it for sleeping. Olga and Giuseppe were kind and incredibly helpful, always ready with advice. The beach is only 20-30 meters away, and from the apartment you can hear the waves. There’s a small balcony with a clothesline, and we used the extra sofa bed as a spot to sit and enjoy the sea view. The bedroom looks out over the sea and Gulf of Naples, with a comfortable double bed, clean linens, hypoallergenic pillows, and a roomy closet with an easel, iron, and safe. The apartment is on the first floor and very clean. Its kitchen is small but useful, with a microwave, refrigerator, washing machine, coffee maker, utensils, and basics like salt, sugar, napkins, and coffee. There’s also a table and chairs, a working TV, and a sturdy, comfortable double sofa bed with clean sheets. The medium-sized bathroom has a sink, mirror, toilet, bidet, and a working marine-style shower. Hand soap, shower gel, shampoo, and clean towels in several sizes were provided. Two air conditioners worked, though we didn’t need them thanks to the nice sea breeze. Wi-Fi reaches throughout the house and was quite good with the password. Nearby are a greengrocer, restaurants, a church, souvenir shop, tobacconist, and small supermarket. A shuttle bus stops in front and costs €1.10, running every 10 minutes until midnight to the centre of Sorrento; walking there takes about 15 minutes. You can relax on the free beach in front of the house or rent a lounger and umbrella at reasonable prices. The municipal park has several beaches, though they cost more. We had a great stay and would happily return when we can. The price was reasonable, as was the parking fee. Parking is close by, just before the limited traffic zone. I highly recommend it.

The view makes staying right by the ocean worthwhile. The building next door partly blocks it, but the steady sound of the waves is lovely. The building looks old from outside, though the interior is quite nice. The host is friendly, and there are a few restaurants nearby, but no supermarket, so it’s best to bring snacks. Google Maps shows a supermarket that isn’t there. Its location pin is also wrong: if you follow it, you reach Coltur Suites, then need to continue down the stone steps to the waterfront. That walk could be hard with big luggage. They mentioned a bus, which I think drops you right in front of the beach. The pots and dishes were dirty and unusable, and the coffee pot was dirty too. There are plates and cups, but no microwave. Hot water stopped after a few minutes and turned cold. Wi-Fi wasn’t perfect, but it was usable.

Everything went well, and the service was quick.
