Hotel Lorelei Londres

The staff made us feel like family, taking genuine care with everything, from restaurant suggestions to breakfast and dinner service. They went beyond what we expected and made us comfortable throughout. Grazie mille to all of them for making our summer special. We stayed at Hotel Lorelei Londres in Sorrento this summer, and it was a wonderful experience. The hotel is only steps from the heart of town, with breathtaking views that made the sunsets feel like a dream. Our room was beautiful, clean, and charming, while the hotel brought together timeless elegance and modern comfort. Every member of staff was excellent and went out of their way to make sure we were enjoying our stay.

The hotel is set just beyond the busy part of town, but you can walk everywhere. Its bar and patio look out over the bay, and inside there's a crisp white look with marble floors and bright turquoise touches, giving it a high-end Mediterranean feel. Since it was the last stop on our three-week Italy trip and an anniversary stay, I spent a lot of time choosing a hotel for our four nights. The location and views were hard to beat. We had a deluxe superior sea view room with plenty of space, a balcony, and views of Mount Vesuvius. It was spotless, with high-quality linens, comfortable beds, and a well-equipped bathroom with quality toiletries. I had assumed we'd be on a higher floor, but our room was on the first floor, just off the lobby and restaurant entrance. Some noise came through from the lobby and hallways, so light sleepers may want to ask for a higher floor. Service was attentive and good throughout. Most of the staff are young, and it's clear they care and are making a real effort. The hotel is small, which meant there wasn't a proper lobby area for sitting over coffee or an afternoon drink, though you can get a cocktail at the sunset bar. I like a comfortable lobby where you can linger, but we still had a lovely stay. Depending on your needs and taste, there's a lot to enjoy here.

Our room had a big terrace with a jacuzzi and incredible panoramic views. Valentina was kind and welcoming, and the front desk staff were helpful and just as kind. The hotel is beautiful, with a great location within walking distance of Sorrento's attractions. I'd highly recommend Hotel Lorelei.

The view is the one thing this hotel has going for it. You can see Mount Vesuvius clearly and watch a beautiful sunset, but the rest of our stay fell short. The bed was uncomfortable, the air conditioning didn't work properly and we had to call the front desk to get it turned on, and there was a bug in the room. For a hotel that calls itself five-star, that's unacceptable. We walked past the front desk nearly a dozen times and weren't greeted once. Staff kept avoiding eye contact. At the pool there were no attendants, so we fetched our own towels and set up our own chairs and umbrella. When someone finally appeared, he only asked for our room number, with no offer to help. This was the final stop of an otherwise wonderful trip, and it left us with a sour impression. The night before arrival we called to ask about a transfer service, as the other hotels on our trip had provided one. They said they didn't offer it and gave us no help. At check-in we asked about arranging an airport transfer and were quoted €270. Later we found a luxury Mercedes S-Class with a local provider for €170. Calling this a five-star hotel is misleading. Apart from the view, the experience felt like two or three stars at best.
