La Grotta Azzurra

La Grotta Azzura feels like a tucked-away spot at the end of the beach in Marina Grande, with a lovely view of the water and Vesivio. The area has a relaxed, friendly feel, a little beach, fishing boats and some fantastic restaurants. The apartment sits above a boat trip office, and there's a small balcony where you can sit with a coffee or glass of wine. The main bedroom's bed was very comfortable, and the fish mural above it was adorable. We were only two, so we used the twin bedroom as a dressing room, but it could easily sleep two more. The kitchen and bathroom are down a spiral staircase, which might be tricky for anyone with accessibility needs, though it worked fine for us. There are two entrances, so we could bring our suitcases in without carrying them up the spiral stairs. They'd left lots of snacks, bottled water and iced tea, which was a nice touch. There's a hob, microwave, coffee machine, washing machine and drying rack. We didn't use the cooking facilities because there were so many good places to eat. The team were easy to reach and helpful throughout. I'd happily stay again.
