We booked at the last minute, and everything was tidy and in great shape. The owner was always smiling, and she brought delicious coffee and breakfast to the rooms herself. We started in the huge, luxurious Yellow Room, then switched to the humble, cute Blue Room. On our last day she let us leave our things there while we explored the city. After two nights, I’d say this is a fresh, like-new place within walking distance of central Sorrento, despite what earlier reviews may say. At 60-65 euros a night in the off-season, you get more than expected. People complain about the bidet, but the Yellow Room does have one. I feel sorry for their delicate behinds, they must be so traumatized :'D

Carmela was friendly and kind the whole time, and gave us all the information we needed, plus more. The place was clean and tidy. We’d only planned on one night, and they took us at very short notice, but we were happy enough to book a second. For two nights in November we paid 120 euros. There were different breakfast options to choose from, and the host prepared everything in the kitchen after we ordered.

We were told cooking was possible, but there was no soap, utensils, knife, cutting board, or other basics to cook with. There’s no reception, so you have to carry a key for the entrance and memorize two codes to get in and out. The bed was hard as a rock and left my back hurting, even though I don’t normally have back pain. Worst of all, construction noise started around 2 AM every day: drilling, knocking, and a woman screaming loudly. We could still hear it with earplugs, and it went on from 2 AM to 8. This wasn’t what we expected, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

Neat and clean, and probably fine for just one or two nights if you’re not expecting five-star comfort. The bed was pretty hard on my back. There was also a lot of noise, both from neighboring rooms when people were loud and from a train passing right by the window.
