Mediterranean Suites - Old Town

The location was good and check-in was easy. The flat didn’t look like the booking listing, though. The balcony was nothing like the photo and faced the inside of the building. The AC barely worked, and we hardly slept because of the heat. The fan couldn’t be left running even though the room was very hot and it wasn’t set to Auto. We also arranged a small boat tour through them. We were told it would be Fernando's Boats, but ended up with SalBoats instead. That tour was the activity we were most looking forward to in Sorrento, and it became the biggest disappointment. I was charged 140euro for a 115euro tour. Nothing against Sal, but I wish we’d been told we’d be on an old fishing boat rather than the usual tour boats you see around the Sorrento / Amalfi coast. Book your own tours so you know what you’re getting. I’ve added pictures showing what we were told we booked (Fernando Boat) and what we got (SalBoat) for reference.

Tiziana was easy to reach whenever we had questions, and she gave us some nice restaurant recommendations. She was really helpful throughout our stay. The room was very comfortable, we had a balcony, and my dog was welcome too.

We meant to stay just one night, but liked it enough to add another. The hosts were really nice and helpful, the rooms were beautifully decorated, and everything was very clean. Breakfast was great too. The guest house is central, quiet, and close to the main street. Highly recommended!

I stayed for two nights, 09/04/22 and 10/04/22, and it was one of the worst places I’ve stayed. The noise was insane, with loud music and people screaming and shouting at each other, and it made it impossible to sleep or concentrate. The place is next to a football pitch, which the website never mentioned. The free wifi hardly worked, and the room was nothing like the booking.com listing. There was no privacy with just one sheer curtain, and the tiny balcony wasn’t like the ones shown either. I found several long black hairs on the bed linen and in the bathroom. The stairs had no lights at night, which felt dangerous to climb. All in all, a very disappointing stay.
