My husband and I stayed at Palazzo Marziale for 10 days while we got married in Sorrento, and the whole team were so accommodating, especially on our wedding day. They made it even more special. Thanks again to everyone, we can't wait to come back. The beautiful, rustic hotel has a gorgeous lemon terrace for enjoying a drink. It's right in the centre, about a minute's walk from Piazza Tasso and under 10 minutes on foot from both Marina Grande and Piccola. The front desk staff were all lovely, friendly, and ready to help. We also loved the food each morning, with plenty of variety from cooked breakfast to pastries, fruit, and yogurt.

The team at Palazzo Marziale made us feel looked after from the start, and everyone was so kind and welcoming. Our room was spacious and beautiful, with an elegant, almost medieval-castle feel. A lovely stay in Sorrento, highly recommend it.

A week before my stay, while I was already traveling, the hotel canceled my reservation and gave what felt like a made-up reason. They said I needed to complete a special form to authorize the deposit payment, but their credit card details page didn't work and they wouldn't help. I tried two cards and called my card company to confirm the charge hadn't been declined. We had stayed at four other hotels and booked several tours with timed automatic payments, and none needed a special form. It would've been more honest if they had just said they were overbooked. We were lucky to find another hotel with an ocean view, better amenities, and a lower price.

We had to cancel our trip because of a flood at home, and we did so within the cancellation policy period. Since I'd already paid, the hotel kept our money anyway. They provided us with no services, but still held on to almost $1,000, apparently because they're in another country and could get away with it. They seem interested only in screwing their customers over. Do not do business with this hotel. Take your money elsewhere!

Getting around was easy, with everything in the city within a walk. The staff were fantastic, too. They even sang happy birthday to me at breakfast, though I hadn't mentioned it. They'd clearly been paying attention.
