Short-Lets Sorrento center Apartment and Pool d33

The host was incredibly nice and helpful, and the historic center is only a five-minute walk away. The suites were spacious and beautiful, very clean, with great beds and a nice shower to come back to each time. Access to the building’s pool was included and it looked lovely, but you have to wear a shower cap to use it. That seemed really strange, so we didn’t go in.

The view is gorgeous, and the location is very central. The city center is about a two-minute walk, with three supermarkets within five minutes. It’s also close to the SITA BUS station for buses to the Amalfi Coast. A great place to stay in Sorrento. The room was spacious and well equipped, with air conditioning, a fridge, water, shampoo, and more.

We were generally happy with our three-night stay. The location is great, close to the train station and just a short walk from the restaurants and shops. The room was a good size and had a fridge and air conditioning. The price was good, and I’d probably recommend it to friends as a base for a few days in Sorrento. There were a few problems. Breakfast arrived early every day, even when we requested a later time. We asked for 9 and it came at 8:30. There also seemed to be something missing each morning: one coffee on the first day, one sandwich on the second, and no juice on the third. Our room wasn’t cleaned, the bin overflowed, and we had to ask for fresh toilet paper, shower gel, and hand wash. Check-in was confusing. The hotel is inside an apartment block behind a locked gate, and there was no clear way to get in or know if we were at the right place. They had contacted me on WhatsApp, which was useful, as I could call and someone came to meet us.

The room and bathroom were nice for a small bedroom setup, and the room was clean with a comfortable bed. The pool situation made for a disappointing stay, though. It’s shared with the apartment complex, since this place is really just a section of owned apartments, and access is restrictive. The hours don’t include the afternoon and end early. A man guarding the pool insisted I wear a swim cap, while I could see lots of people swimming without one. To clarify, I don’t object to the cap rule itself. I object to being singled out while others nearby were allowed in without caps. There were other issues as well. This is marketed like a hotel with its own pool, but it doesn’t have one. The included breakfast was a cold piece of ham and some bread. The rest was acceptable, but acceptable doesn’t earn five stars, more like three for those parts. Add that to the negatives and it’s not a high-rated experience.
