Sorrento Central and Sea View Flats

That little balcony looking onto the courtyard made the room feel extra special, and the split layout was charming, with a sitting spot below and the bedroom and bathroom upstairs. Luigi checked in the night before to ask when we’d arrive, and everything was ready when we got there. He was wonderful throughout, and his mom’s homemade bread and pastries were incredible. He also shared restaurant tips, and every place we tried was great. We could walk to the shops and little lanes in the center, or head down to the marina and shore in a few minutes. I have nothing bad to say. Luigi made us feel looked after, and I’d stay here again if I return to Sorrento.

Luigi was a huge help, even booking a boat tour for us, and his mom makes the pastries for the included breakfast. We’d come here at short notice after our Naples stay fell through, and I’m so glad we did. The place feels surprisingly modern, though getting to the room means climbing a twisty flight of stairs. Luigi carried my heavy bag. There’s a small lounge area with a bar fridge, desk and closet, plus a balcony over the courtyard. Steeper steps lead to a large loft bed, and the bathroom is off the bedroom. The Wi-Fi didn’t reach the bathroom. The location is under 1 KM from the train station, along a busy tourist street where I still felt safe. It’s also a short walk to the viewpoint near Villa Comunale di Sorrento and the path down to the beaches and boats. If stairs are difficult for you, this place may not work, and that’s true of a lot of Italy.

We really appreciated how flexible they were about an early check-in and storing our luggage. The place was spotless, comfortable, and clearly cared for, with little touches that made it feel like home. The host was kind from the start and sent us loads of useful suggestions for sightseeing, restaurants, photo spots, and local food. It felt like having someone local to guide us. Everything in the center was within a walk of less than 10 minutes, so exploring was easy. We had such a lovely time and would be happy to come back. 🤍

Luigi even had a beer ready for us when we arrived, then offered good ideas for things to do and places to eat. When it was time to leave, he helped us get our luggage to the flat part of the street on our way back to the train. It felt like having a personal concierge. The family clearly puts effort and pride into the place, and his mom bakes treats for breakfast. On arrival day Luigi texted to ask how we were getting there. Once I said we’d return our car at Naples airport and take the train, he suggested a bus directly from the airport and sent a video showing where to find it. It saved us money and got us there faster. We stayed two nights, the rooms were nice and very clean, and the location was great. We were glad we found it and would stay again.
