The front desk staff were genuinely pleasant and happy to answer questions, and the location worked well: there's a huge supermarket next door and a local restaurant about a five-minute walk away. Our room was roomy, with a desk, a large bathroom and a lovely balcony. Still, you get what you pay for. The mattress was warped and terribly uncomfortable, and the shower had nowhere to set shampoo or soap. Reaching through the shaky doors meant spraying water everywhere. Our room door was so hard to close that it felt like a workout, and the main doorknob would come off at random. Wi-Fi barely worked, noise carried from outside and throughout the building, and the lobby was a mess from construction. The building itself looked as if it had been bombed in WWII and never fixed. The whole place seemed past its best, and I wouldn't recommend it.

Getting around was easy: the bus and train stations are convenient to reach, and you can walk to everything in Sorrento. Breakfast had bread and baked goods, meat, cheese, yogurt and cappuccino. Our room was cleaned daily, came with a fridge, and had a massive balcony. The staff were friendly, and access felt very secure with two keys and a key card for the room. The common area downstairs was a little run down, and construction there could be noisy. The walls are thin. The bed wasn't great, though I've slept on worse.

Our family room was really spacious, with a terrace where we could eat breakfast. It had one double bed and two singles, divided by a wall, so it suited two couples or a family well. There was also a mini-fridge, hairdryer and wardrobe, and breakfast was good. The apartment seems to have been a large family home converted into rooms. It's very conveniently placed near the city center, with easy train or bus connections from Naples. Highly recommended.

Ernesto was especially kind and helpful throughout our stay. The room was very clean and worked perfectly as a base for visiting Sorrento. It's only about a five-minute walk to the center.

I booked through booking four months ahead, then a month later the owner messaged me on WhatsApp to say the reservation would be cancelled. I honestly didn't really understand why. The owner said there would be people working there, but I don't believe that was the real reason. Once the BB is listed on booking and I've made a reservation, it shouldn't be cancelled.
