My husband and daughter stayed in the region for 12 days, and they came away talking most about Viviana and Italo. They made them feel so welcome, and my family said these were the two people they’d miss most, after all their hikes and trips to lakes, restaurants, museums, and towns and cities around the area. They described Villa Fiocco as a warm home away from home, perfectly located and full of love. The rooms were lovely, spacious, and clean. They spent many evenings on their private balcony, enjoying the beautifully maintained, peaceful grounds and looking toward the Dolomites. A hummingbird even stopped by the flowering planter. The grounds and the villa made a lovely place to unwind. Viviana and Italo prepared delicious, generous breakfasts every morning, with beautiful flowers cut from their garden, fresh eggs from their chickens, and their sweet dog Blu. One evening, rain caught my family waiting in their car, and Italo came out with an open umbrella to walk our daughter into the villa. We’re grateful for the kindness they showed my husband and daughter throughout their stay.
We booked two nights at Villa Fiocco, but loved it so much that we stayed for a third. The views of the beautiful surroundings are wonderful, and Viviane and Italo were warm and welcoming. They helped us however they could and made us feel at home. The house and rooms were cosy and clean, with all the little details clearly thought through. Breakfast was generous and delicious. We only wish we could’ve stayed longer!
A comfortable room, a quiet setting, and an excellent homemade breakfast, plus the lovely owners, made for a great night in this wonderful villa with the Dolomiti right in the backyard. The old saying that there’s no place like home rang true for me here. It’s somewhere to visit and return to.
The best part of our stay at Villa Fiocco was the warmth and kindness of Viviana and Italo. They went out of their way to help us make the most of our short visit. One evening, we shared a delicious Italian dinner with them and a Canadian couple who were also staying there, trading stories over food and wine until late. That’s the memory that sticks with me most. The villa has all the authenticity, romance, and idyllic charm you’d hope for in a bed and breakfast, set in the foothills of the mighty Dolomites. We loved being there and hated to leave after just two nights. We’ll stay longer next time. If you’re coming by train like we did, check the bus schedule or book a rental ahead of time. There are very few buses, so a car or scooter is a good way to get around. For us, this was the best place we’ve ever stayed. If you’re looking for somewhere near the Dolomites, this is it.
Such a beautiful villa!
