The castle and its large garden are gorgeous, and there’s a swimming pool too. The reception team were great about helping us change rooms and dates, and they also suggested a wine tasting that turned out to be perfect.

You’ll need a car to get around, but we had no trouble exploring Tuscany, and Siena is quite close. We rented the whole place with eight couples several years back, when it was still a vacation rental. I loved it.
