We were so glad Simonetta helped us track down our family roots. She looked into our history, pointed us toward other relatives, and showed us where to find the cemetery. The church visit was a lovely surprise: we mentioned that one of our ancestors had been its priest for years, and she called the current priest. It was Friday afternoon, and within half an hour we were inside. She was the best host we’ve ever had, and the home felt just perfect. Breakfast was amazing, with plenty of good food left out for snacks. She’s lovely, and if you like animals, that’s an added bonus. We can’t recommend the place enough!

If you’re riding the Colle del Nivolet, this is a great place to start from. The rooms are a good size, everything was clean and tidy, and the service was friendly. The homemade apricot tart was amazing.
