B&B La Mimosa

It’s a fairly convenient B&B if you’re driving to Spello, and Mr. Quinto was friendly. But friendliness alone doesn’t make for a good stay. The property is modest, and far too dusty, so avoid it if you have even mild dust sensitivity. The bathroom needs maintenance, and breakfast was nothing special. Mr. Quinto said there was a Booking.com issue and the listed price was too low, then asked us to pay an adjustment at the property. That’s not a major issue on its own, but checking platform prices is the customer’s responsibility only if they actually do it, and he should have checked. He took our money and didn’t give us a receipt. I consider that dishonest and wouldn’t recommend booking here. We paid €50 for two people, which felt disproportionate beside other places in the area that are cleaner and better maintained. I don’t understand the other glowing reviews. The two stars are only for Mr. Quinto’s friendliness.

We had a pleasant stay, and Mr. Quinto was a very friendly, helpful, and agreeable host. The B&B is handy for seeing Umbria over a few days, with the main attractions about an hour away.

A spacious room in a great location for visiting Spello, Foligno, and Bevagna.

Mr. Quinto welcomed us like family, a true gentleman. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed, though the decor is a little dated. Breakfast was a highlight, especially the chat about Quinto’s beautiful flower displays. I’d come back.
