One star is the lowest I can give. What a holiday to forget. It was advertised as a loft, and the photographer did a good job, but it turned out to be a converted garage or cellar. The air was poorly ventilated and damp, the furniture and drawers smelled of mold, and the floor stayed wet even with the dehumidifier running. It was much too cold for anyone with small children. I can’t say whether the price was right for the area. If we’d known what it was really like, we definitely would have chosen somewhere else. Sperlonga, you’re lovely, but we won’t be back 😠

For family reasons, I canceled a June 2021 booking in my name well within the allowed period. The confirmation email said payments were fully refundable if I canceled at least 30 days before arrival, and nothing would be refunded after that. I canceled with plenty of notice and was told I’d get the deposit back minus a €50 processing fee. I’m still trying to understand what processing is involved in reversing a bank transfer. The fee appeared only in an attachment, not in the main body of the confirmation email, where the cancellation terms were prominently stated. I relied on that message and didn’t check the attachment, so technically I was in the wrong, even though a promise of a 100% refund doesn’t lead you to expect only 99%. The €50 won’t change my life, but this sort of oversight and behavior is unwelcome and will cost those responsible much more over time. Best regards!

We ran into the same problem mentioned in an earlier review. The apartment is a converted garage, and the single open-plan room was damp with patches of mold. I don’t think it meets the basic comfort and health standards for a place to stay. We booked for six, but the sofa bed wasn’t set up and there were no towels for it. The private parking was actually 1.5 km away, and with two cars we would have had to pay for one anyway because the arrangement covered just one vehicle. The hairdryer and TV didn’t work, and there was no heating in the bathroom.
