Hotel Mayor

The town is picturesque, and the shopkeepers were helpful, whether they had what I needed themselves or pointed me to somewhere down the street. At the hotel, our room for two was comfortable and clean, with a balcony full of lovely flowers. The staff were friendly, and at least one person at reception spoke and understood English. I only dealt with one of them. I’d love to come back.

There’s plenty of parking around the hotel, and it has its own beach umbrellas, so ask where yours is located. The beach is a short five-minute walk away. Our room was a good size, the beds were comfortable, and the balcony view was excellent. Staff were friendly, breakfast was pretty OK, and the cakes and sweets with the good coffee were nice. I’d come back in the off-season. One odd thing: we brought a bottle of Lemoncelo from Naples and found half of it gone that evening. Maybe the cleaning staff had some fun? We didn’t lose any cash or other belongings, thankfully.

A straightforward hotel with what you need, without the extras that push up the cost. It’s family run, and the staff are very helpful, especially Marco, who makes an effort to speak English. The rooms are modern and spotless, and beach amenities are included, unlike at some other hotels nearby.

The location is very central, but it was still really quiet. Rooms were very clean, breakfast was very good, and having parking was a real bonus.
