B&B L'Arseni 1921

The setting is tucked into nature and absolutely spectacular. What really stayed with me, though, was how the owners go out of their way to meet their guests' needs. They're incredibly kind, always smiling, and happy to chat or share cultural knowledge when you're up for it. There's a family museum too, with the history of every tool displayed on the wall: its name and how it was used in everyday farm work. They can explain every little thing, like walking encyclopedias. They're wonderful people, and well worth seeking out in this day and age. 100 stars. That's all.

The excellent breakfast was a lovely start to the day. I also enjoyed the Family Museum, a room thoughtfully arranged with objects, tools, and photographs. Mr. Loris and his wife gave me a very warm, distinctly Emilian welcome. My room was comfortable, clean, and neat, with new furnishings, a TV, and air conditioning. The bathroom had a shower. The B&B sits on the northern edge of Vignola, only a few minutes from the center, with a handy bike path for getting there.

I only stayed one night for work, but I plan to come back in a few days and take more time to explore the area. Getting here from Bologna took around 30 minutes, and the place is easy to reach from the main roads despite being in a peaceful, lovely stretch of countryside. The owner was very helpful and kind, especially when an unexpected problem came up. The rooms are beautiful, exceptionally clean, and carefully kept, with a nice rustic-meets-modern feel. They also have en-suite bathrooms, which is unusual for a B&B. Breakfast was generous and high quality, and there was plenty of convenient parking.

The owners' courtesy, warmth, and professionalism stood out, as did the fresh, generous breakfast. Rooms were very clean. It's wonderfully quiet out here in the Modena countryside, with nature's scents all around. I can see myself coming back often.
