Monte Mao was a lovely hike, and the Big Bench gave us a spot to sit and look out over the horizon. We spent four wonderful days at this agriturismo, up in the hills with breathtaking views of the Ligurian coast. It was peaceful and relaxing, just right for switching off and being in nature. The hosts were welcoming and spoke fluent English. One bit of advice for arriving: there are two roads to the property, so ask the owners which route is easier the first time. A charming stay, with beautiful scenery and memorable walks.

We stayed a full week at Cascina Trevo and really enjoyed it. The setting is very quiet, with stunning views, a nice cold pool, and great hiking nearby. They’re pet friendly, serve the best coffee, and are very friendly, with good tips for day trips. If you book a room rather than an apartment, bring some food. In the low season, they only offer breakfast. The drive up can be an adventure if you’re not used to the roads, though it wasn’t as bad as some of the comments made it sound.

The fireflies in the evening were a treat, and I’ll remember the kindness and smiles of Valentina and her father, Luciano. The place is stunning, with breathtaking views and a chance to recharge in nature. Thank you for a beautiful weekend! To anyone leaving one-star reviews that can hurt someone’s work: if there’s a problem, why not talk to the owners directly instead of damaging their reputation? Those posts feel like cowardly outbursts, and they don’t help future guests either. Valentina and Luciano, keep going with your dedication and perseverance. You’re on the right track.

For a slower, peaceful break in nature, this is an ideal spot, away from the city rush. Valentina, who owns Cascina Trevo, and her father and grandmother have made a wonderful oasis in the hills above Spotorno. I’d highly recommend it for the property and for the owners’ kindness and hospitality.

Getting there takes a bit of an adventure, but it’s worth it. The setting is peaceful and charming, surrounded by nature, and the host is extremely kind and helpful. A lovely choice for a relaxing getaway.
