The best part was the location near the sea. The rooms, though, are very small, with a medium-sized bathroom, and the hotel doesn't feel worth the price. We paid €80 on promotion, down from €160, and breakfast was barely acceptable, with no fresh fruit and a weak international selection. After checkout they weren't prepared to hold our luggage, and suggested leaving it in the hall without anyone watching it.

Thanks for keeping our bags after checkout. That extra help is why I'd give it one more star than I otherwise would for the quality compared with the price. At €155, I expected more than an old hotel with very modest rooms. I'd have rated it five stars if the price had been no more than €100.

The location worked perfectly for us, with the beach, walking paths, restaurants, and public transport all easy to reach. The hotel itself felt clean, comfortable, friendly, and homely. We'd certainly choose it again.

We stayed three days at Zunino and were more than satisfied. It's a 3-star hotel, but the service felt like 5-star. The room was clean, the bed super comfortable, and we had a lovely terrace off the room. The restaurant served really delicious dishes at a good price, and there was no need to look for somewhere better. By reception there's a large outdoor terrace where you can smoke, have coffee, or just relax after a sunny day. It's a family hotel I'd happily recommend. We'd first wanted to book in nearby Varigotti, but it was almost three times more expensive. We drove over yesterday to compare, and Spotorno and hotel Zunino are definitely worth choosing for a short or long holiday.
