The people were so nice, and the place was lovely, with a beautiful view and a really peaceful feel. The pool is big and beautiful too.

Damiano, the owner, was so kind and welcoming, and the setting is peaceful, just a few minutes from the town centers and the lovely beaches of Squillace and Soverato. Our apartment was cozy and comfortable, with comfortable mattresses, a hairdryer, and a washing machine. The pool is lovely and clean, though a bit inconvenient since it's about 500 meters from the apartments. A place I'd recommend.

We chose Tenuta Castellesi for a quieter summer 2025 break near the sea, after coming across it online while looking for somewhere different. Glad we did. It's on a lovely hill in Squillace, among thousands of olive and citrus trees. The coastal heat feels far away up there, even though the beaches are only a 15-minute drive. Our apartment was spacious, spotless, and had every comfort. Damiano clearly takes loving care of the place. He was more like an old friend than a manager, always ready to help and make us feel at home. Nights were completely silent, which is rare on vacation, and we slept peacefully with only the scents of nature around us. The pool area was great, with clear water, lots of room to sunbathe or relax in the shade under the big canopies, plus a barbecue area where we had cookouts with friends. The only challenge was finishing all the sausage! Damiano and his staff handled everything else, including the cleanup. Many heartfelt thanks and compliments to Damiano. We highly recommend the property and will definitely return.

My husband, daughter, and I spent three nights here, if you can call it a residence. A terrible experience. It looks well maintained, but it really isn't. The driveway down to the place has iron sticking out of the concrete, and we got a flat tire. The apartment was old and had no amenities. The kitchen smelled bad and had nothing useful in it. They said there was a bar, but it's practically nonexistent, and its coffee machine is broken. In the apartment there's no coffee maker either, and the dishes were very dirty and broken. The furniture is old, including in the bathroom, and the washing machine kept stopping. The Wi-Fi worked well. You need a car to get around, even for the long drive between the pool and the apartment. The pool itself was the one positive, very clean. But only one of the three showers works. Sometimes the other shower handles came off in our hands, and practically all the sun loungers are broken. The apartments have no shutters, so you either shut them or leave everything open, which isn't good with the considerable danger from animals in such a large countryside area. The front door is dilapidated and not secure at all. The owner was absent. His only concern was remembering the tourist tax, which he didn't even bother to collect, telling us to leave it in the apartment.
