The village restaurant serves delicious food and house wine at a great price, and the hostel also has a library, generous breakfast with local products, and breathtaking nature all around. Pruno has hardly any grocery shops and only a few buses daily, so arriving without a car means it's wise to bring some essentials. Still, everything you really need is there. The hostel smells of wood and soap, and the incredibly kind hosts make you feel at home. Silvia and Alex are so sweet and friendly, and gave me great advice. It's a lovely place to slow down, relax, or explore the surroundings. In two days I learned a lot about the area and its history, and left feeling inspired and fulfilled in heart, mind, and soul. Thank you for having me.

We visited for one night at the end of November, when the hostel was less than a month old, and we were the only guests. Silvia and Alex were wonderfully hospitable, and breakfast was plentiful and good. Pruno is a quiet, lovely town surrounded by nature, with the hostel fitting right in. It's a great base for magnificent hikes nearby and for getting away from the rush of daily life. We'd stay again.

Silvia was so kind to fit us in when we called to book at the last minute, even though she already had a group of children staying that night. Her hostel is a perfect starting point for a beautiful hike in the Apuan Alps. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean, and breakfast was plentiful. Silva also gave us lots of helpful hiking tips. Thanks for all the help and hospitality, we'd definitely like to visit again!

We stayed at Pania Forata from August 25 to 31, 2025, and were very satisfied. Alessandro and Silvia are wonderful hosts, courteous, friendly, welcoming, and extremely knowledgeable about the area. The property was clean, well maintained, and conveniently located, a peaceful oasis. Breakfast was delicious and the value for money was excellent. We'll definitely return to these rejuvenating places.
