A real hidden gem for the value. I stayed here on a bike tour through Switzerland and Italy, and the location was ideal for visiting Stelvio pass. The food was top notch, the staff incredibly kind, and my room felt luxurious.

We were only passing through, which was a pity, because the hospitality was off the charts. The surroundings are beautiful, our romantik room was awesome, and breakfast was good. We arrived late after the kitchen had closed, but the staff offered to make us vegetarian gnocchi off the menu. It was delicious. Would definitely recommend.

The house wine was very good, and the octopus salad was tasty. The salad bar, available next to the menu for 7,5, had several options, though two of its three main salads included pieces of meat, so they weren’t suitable for vegetarians. My girlfriend and I came for dinner after seeing the food photos and reading older reviews. We’d hoped for a romantic end to our holiday, since this seemed like one of the best restaurants in the area, but we were disappointed. The menu is heavily focused on meat, with only a couple of vegetarian dishes, or meat dishes that can be made vegetarian if requested. In my opinion, the food now looks more basic than most pictures in past reviews suggest, and the presentation felt ordinary for the price. Our main dishes came five minutes apart, so I started eating to keep mine from getting cold. My girlfriend had asked for hers without pesto, but it arrived with pesto five minutes after mine. The waiter apologized kindly for the mistake, but we chose not to wait longer for the kitchen to correct it, and removed the pesto ourselves so we could eat together. When the waiter asked about our experience as we paid, I said we were a bit unhappy about the delay and the mistake, though the food was pretty tasty. Instead of apologizing, he responded unhappily that “it is not always easy to serve dishes at the same time”. Apparently it’s normal for main dishes not to arrive together. We won’t be returning or recommending the restaurant to our friends visiting next week.

We stayed for 3 nights and had a great experience with the room, service, and food. The food was the best part. Even the locals at the next table told us it was the best around, and they’d come just for dinner. We’ll definitely come back.
