I’ve been coming here for decades, and it’s still a great family-run hotel. It combines old-world charm with modern amenities, and the food is amazing, mixing local Tyrolean dishes with Italian touches. It’s also welcoming to kids and dogs.

The peaceful setting is great for hikers, with lovely routes starting right at the hotel. We had a pleasant stay, and the rooms were beautifully furnished. The staff were friendly, and the manager deserves a special mention for being so nice, cheerful and welcoming. The food was less impressive. The salad buffet had little choice and wasn’t presented very well, and breakfast was limited. Lunch was much the same each day, except for the soup and hot dishes. The dessert buffet, on the other hand, was excellent, varied and thoughtfully prepared. A lovely hotel with a great location and staff, though the food could use improvement.

We made it through several excursions in four days without needing the car, thanks to the excellent location. The hotel is beautiful and full of careful touches. Our room was spacious and spotless, and the food was very good. With three-quarter board, there’s an afternoon buffet as well as breakfast and dinner. Dinner includes a varied main menu, plus children’s and vegetarian options. The wellness area was superb, with a large pool, whirlpool, gym, several saunas and places to relax with hot or cold drinks. Dogs are welcome for an extra fee.
