After hours walking in the sun, we arrived worn out, and the owners were ready to help with whatever we needed. The place feels like a local home, with a welcoming atmosphere and so much kindness from the people running it. I stayed here while doing the Via del Salento, and it really fits the spirit of the walk and the pilgrim experience. Anyone walking that route, or hoping to get a feel for local customs and traditions, MUST stay here.

Set in an old courtyard, the bed and breakfast has a ceiling decorated with ancient frescoes. The room was comfortable, and the owners were kind and helpful.

Valentina, Andrea, and MariaLuce made us feel like family. Corte Candelora was one of the best stops on our Puglia tour, thanks to its convenient location and the warmth of the hosts. We highly recommend it!

The owner’s kindness and hospitality made a lovely stay even better. The place has a beautiful cave-like structure, and the rooftop terrace is a fabulous spot for sunset views. Its central location is another plus.

The old rooms still have their charming frescoes, and breakfast made with homemade products was excellent. Andrea and Valentina run this B&B in the heart of Sternatia, in an old house typical of the Greek Salentine tradition. The owners were always helpful, and we remember Andrea’s kindness especially. I’d recommend it to couples and families alike.
