The rooms at Sa domo de afra are guest accommodations made from two rooms in what is actually a private villa. We hadn't realized the bathroom was shared between them. Fortunately, nobody was staying in the other room. The room was so tiny we couldn't keep our suitcases open and still move around. The bed was supposed to be a double, but it was two single beds pushed together with a very thin sheet that wouldn't keep them together. There was no air conditioning, just a fan. We left rather than sleep somewhere that isn't a hotel but charges three-star hotel prices. If you work in tourism, you need to make guests feel welcome and take care over every detail. We were given the wrong key and told, "there's always someone home, don't worry." When we said there was no hot water and a guest had taken a cold shower, despite it being 40 degrees outside, the response came with a smile. In the few hours we spent there, we felt like unwelcome visitors in a stranger's home.
