Albergo Casa Della Neve

We had amazing food, traditional northern Italian fare at a fair price. It's a great family restaurant in an excellent spot, with plenty of parking and a pet-friendly welcome. There was snow all around and lots of fun. What more could you ask for?

At Casa della Neve, the generous portions are genuinely filling, and the porcini dishes are done the way they should be on the Matterhorn. I had a good meal here. They bring out the food on small candles to keep it warm, along with a separate warmed plate, so you can take your time and your meal doesn't go cold. Even with the extra challenges of being high in the mountains, they serve hearty, high-quality food. Compared with places like Orta San Giulio, where portions can feel meagre, there's real substance here as well as quality. It's a welcoming place for an honest mountain meal, and I highly recommend it.

I stopped in for a quick coffee while hiking in and . The spot has an amazing view of the mountains, and it's a handy place to refresh with a snack or a drink.

The Monte Rosa view is really lovely, and the water was excellent. The sunbeds were free too. Unfortunately, the food was poor quality and the portions were very small for the price. The huge amount of salt seemed to be covering up the lack of flavour. We only went for lunch.
