Hotiday Room Collection - Stresa

The location made getting around easy, with the train station about 10 minutes away on foot and the ferries around a 5-minute walk. I stayed one night this weekend. The room was clean and a good size, with a lovely bathroom, a really spacious shower, and a balcony I appreciated. We arrived late, but the reception was still fantastic. Raffaella gave us useful information about Stresa and spoke Spanish, so I didn’t have to translate for the person I was with. My night shift colleague, Gianluca, was very kind and helped me when I went downstairs for information in the middle of the night. I’ll definitely come back in spring.

The street noise went on all night, and the breakfast was dreadful: dry toast and dried bread in plastic wrap, with coffee that was absolutely undrinkable. In Italy, of all places! For €180 a night, this was a disgrace. I found the staff very unfriendly, and having to argue with them on vacation was awful. At this rate, I’d say the hotel is worth €40 per room per night. We certainly won’t return.

Breakfast for two was included in the 170,000 won per-night price, and it was delicious. I also really liked the view of Lake Maggiore. It’s a 3-star hotel in Stresa, near Milan.

The pool was immaculate, and its view alone made the trip worthwhile. We had two very relaxing nights in a comfortable room overlooking the lake. The staff were friendly and always available. Highly recommended!
