Villa e Palazzo Aminta Hotel Beauty and SPA

Breakfast was varied and delicious, and the friendly, helpful staff made the service excellent. My room was elegant and very comfortable, with breathtaking views of the lake and mountains. The hotel felt luxurious and relaxing throughout. A perfect place if you’re looking for comfort and elegance ✨🌿

The service was brilliant. I’d give the room four stars only because the decor wasn’t our style, though there was absolutely nothing to complain about otherwise. The location doesn’t get five stars because I couldn’t, or was more accurately advised not to, walk into Stesa, as part of the route is along the road. It’s only a small stretch. There was an excellent shuttle service on a schedule, and calling it out outside those times cost a very reasonable amount.

Ana at the front desk and Claudia in the breakfast area were both outstanding. The services and views of the lake and mountains were also excellent, and breakfast was delicious. Eggs and porridge cost extra, though, which was an annoying quirk. The hotel is beautifully situated by the lake, but it’s 1.3 km from the town center, including an 800 m stretch along a busy road before the safe walking area begins. A woman who appears to be a family member of the owners frequently screams at front desk staff in front of guests, an unpleasant surprise at such a highly rated, expensive place. In October, they turn off the guest room air conditioning, calling it the “cold months.” We had to open doors and windows, as well as the curtains, to cool our warm room.

The view was amazing in both sunny and rainy weather, and we enjoyed breakfast, though tiny flies were all over the salad, fruit and cold cuts station. Housekeeping was meticulous and prompt, we liked the pillow menu, and the shower pressure was good. Unfortunately, the room we got on the fourth floor had a funky smell and a large patch of stained, peeling, moldy walls right beside the bed. The hotel surely knew about it. Service was standard, with simple tasks missed here and there. There seemed to be a wedding banquet on site, and the staff looked burned out from catering to it, leaving hotel guests short of attention. The shuttle driver deserves credit: he was always upbeat and smiling while juggling several duties, even housekeeping. That seemed like unnecessary stress for guests, since the hotel felt understaffed already. The air conditioning turned off by itself every night, and once the safety emergency light came on at 1:30am for no reason. We stayed at six hotels in Italy on this trip, and in my experience villa palazzo aminta failed in many ways. I’m shocked it’s a member of LHW.
