The tables and seats at breakfast weren't cleaned promptly, though there was a good variety and the plant-filled room was pleasant. The hotel is in a handy spot, about three minutes from the port and close to the route into town or to the beach. My room didn't match the one I'd seen on Booking. It felt a bit old-fashioned, more like a B&B than a hotel room, but that gave it some local character and wasn't the main problem. There was no WiFi the night I stayed. I checked in quickly, left my luggage, went trekking, then came back late and messaged the hotel on WhatsApp. Nobody replied. In the morning they said the modem was broken and they were trying to fix it. I got no apology or compensation, and I felt it might have been ignored if I hadn't raised it myself. I was only there one night, so it wasn't a huge issue, but I don't think this should happen at a three-star hotel. For the same budget, I'd maybe look at other places.

Horrible experience. The young man with glasses serving breakfast was really rude. I asked for black tea, but the box was empty. He argued with me and snapped that they had no black tea, had no tea at all, and told me to drink more tea. Very bad hotel.

Mariela was kind enough to call ahead and let us know reception closes briefly at 1 pm, then waited for us to return from our first walk around Stromboli so we could check in. Mille grazie! It's a nice place to stay right on the seafront, near the piers.

We had a lovely volcano view from our clean, bright, cheerful room. Since we'd booked the 7:15 ferry and would miss breakfast, the staff said we could come down at 6:45 instead. It was ready and delicious. The port is conveniently close by.
