La Sirenetta Park Hotel

We extended our stay because this was our favorite place in Sicily during a three-week vacation. The sea view is amazing, and we loved relaxing by the pool and watching birds take a dip, with the volcano in the background. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, from the cleaning lady to the receptionist. The restaurant is good, though a little pricey, and the rooms aren't the most modern. They were very clean, though. Clear recommendation from me!

The bedroom, the views and the charm were all lovely. This place is absolutely beautiful, and I adored it. I wish we'd stayed one more night and would love to return. Breakfast could use some work. There didn't seem to be many savory options, which I don't find very international, though I understand Italian breakfasts tend to focus on sweets.

We chose the slightly more expensive room with a terrace, and the views were fantastic. The place is stunning, and the staff were lovely and helpful. The restaurant menu is very limited, though the wine list is great. The bathroom was a letdown, so I took off a star. The shower is over the bath, with no shower mat, and that felt pretty dangerous. After a day at the beach, you need a proper shower.

I wish the hotel were better prepared for guests arriving and for arranging transport around the island. The stay itself was okay, and the hotel was nice enough, but nothing special. I've had more enjoyable stays for the money in the Eolian Islands. Still, I suppose it was one of the better choices in Stromboli.
