Bed and Breakfast Piazza

We were here in June while walking the Magna Via Francigena. The B&B is on the edge of town, on the exit side, about a 5-10 minute walk away. Our room and bathroom were quite large, spotless and comfortable, and we got a friendly welcome. Lovely views of the mountain and across the valley, and good value too.

We thought the price was high for what we received as pilgrims, and it didn't match the price listed on the via francigena website. We stayed here during our pilgrimage to agrigento. The place was very clean and light, with superb views.

The owner was delightful, really friendly, kind and helpful. Lovely B&B in a beautiful location, with outstanding views from the balcony.

The large balcony was the best part, facing the long southern sun and looking out toward the sunset over the Sicani hills. A fantastic spot to unwind after a day of walking. I stayed here on the MVF, and Calogera was helpful with information and made pilgrims feel welcome. One thing to consider: the price feels a bit high compared with other places along the route, especially since the kitchen is only available for breakfast, not dinner. It's a shame that Sutera feels so neglected. It's listed among Italy's most beautiful villages, but it seems left to its own devices and doesn't make much of an impression on travelers. Thankfully, people like Calogera and Gero at the La Sambriglia restaurant can change your mind. Go there!
