This is the kind of luxury I want: slowing down among the greenery, with the splendid Marecchia Valley stretching out in view. The old walls feel full of history, and the stones seem to connect you to your roots. I got emotional. Time feels slower here, and the soft Sunday morning bells took me back to childhood celebrations with family and good food. It was a chance to reconnect with myself and the world, through little real things like a morning smile or an unexpected greeting from the old lady in the village square. We came across Maison24 almost by chance. It's a historic residence that has recently opened, with just a few exclusive rooms. I stayed in the Meraviglia Suite, with a mini pool in the room and endless little indulgences. At the Locanda dell'Ambra, dinner brought genuine traditional flavors, with knowledge and passion behind them, in small rooms surrounded by riccia cheese and legends. You really should taste and buy their fossa cheese. Breakfast felt like a ritual and a gentle start to the day, just right for setting off to wander through the wonderful villages. I saw some of the work on the spa that's due to open soon, with every stone and beam restored to its former glory. I'm curious to see how lovely it will be. Thanks to Sofia, her wonderful family, Maison24, and Locanda dell'Ambra for two wonderful days. I'll be back when the spa opens, ready to recharge!

Breakfast was my favorite part: everything was freshly made, with care down to the smallest detail. We spent a night at Sofia's little gem and felt looked after throughout. The property has such thoughtful simplicity. I loved being able to choose my pillow, and the shower was sensational. The room was just right, especially that huge, comfortable bed. In the morning, natural light filled the room, and the view of nature outside the window was hard to put into words. We'll definitely come back to see the spa :) It's a lovely choice for a romantic weekend surrounded by nature and relaxation, especially if you're in need of some pampering.

Dinner across the street at their restaurant was the finishing touch. We ate traditional dishes in a cave setting, which made the meal special. Our stay felt like a dream, and we were pampered from the moment we arrived. The room was fantastic, with an amazing experience shower and a huge hot tub.

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and I had a delicious dinner at their restaurant across the street for a more than fair price. The rooms are comfortable and tastefully furnished, with a spa shower that has a waterfall, steam bath, and chromotherapy.

Maison 24 felt like a full immersion in a surprisingly unexpected place, and we were treated wonderfully during our stay for my partner's birthday, which happened to fall on International Women's Day. The typical cuisine of Ambra di Talamello is always special. We'll be back. A special thanks to Sofia, Mary, and the fantastic Maurizio.
