Bouganvillage Bilo With Shared Pool

The complex looks pleasant and is well maintained outside, but apartment 109 was a major letdown. It smelled bad when we walked in, and though advertised for six, it only has beds for four. The other two people are left with an uncomfortable couch. The mattresses are worn and too soft, with springs you can feel. Bedding and towels come in a plastic bag, so you have to make the beds yourself, and the blankets are old and shabby. The kitchen had a strong odor, and some dishes were dirty with food still on them. There were just two wine glasses and a broken plate left by earlier guests. The cabinets smelled so bad we didn’t want to open them. In the small bathroom there was only one roll of toilet paper. The neglected terrace chairs hadn’t been wiped in ages, and the view was just the neighboring apartment’s wall. The pool was clean, which we appreciated, although the rules there were strict. Inside the apartment, we found Smoki snack leftovers and children’s toys in the corners, so it clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned before we arrived. We paid €90 for final cleaning and can’t see what that covered. The outside might merit four stars, but the apartment and complex felt like two at most. No thanks, never again.

It’s such a calm, clean place, with lovely views of flowers, plants and mountains. The beach takes a little walk to reach, but the route is pretty. We had a really relaxing stay and appreciated Massimiliano and the restaurant team, who were always friendly and brought such positive energy.

The apartment was spotless and had a great view. Everyone on staff was really friendly and helpful.

The pool and shared areas were lovely, with beautiful views, and Ester and Gianni at the restaurant were fantastic hosts, cooks and people. They’re the reason I’d give this place as many stars as I did. The accommodation management seemed indifferent, though. Our basic but clean room had us sleeping in the kitchen, and its spot by the service entrance came with an unpleasant electrical buzz all day and night. There’s no communal BBQ, the WiFi doesn’t work, and there are lots of rules. The pool is meant to be off limits from 1pm to 5pm, and if you use it then, you’re expected to stay quiet, which is a hard ask with young kids. We also faced a lot of extra charges on arrival.
