Al Duomo Rooms & Flats

We had a very quiet, spacious place in a convenient spot. Our rooms came with a full kitchen and a really large patio. I wish the rating scale had more stars for this place.

The apartment was clean, modern, and well equipped, with a comfortable bed, Wi-Fi, TV, a stocked kitchen corner, coffee machine, towels, and a huge rain shower. The host offered fresh towels and new sheets all three days, which we really appreciated. The place itself was lovely and tidy. But construction right outside the door woke us before 7 every morning. There was hammering, people shouting, and trucks beeping and hauling things, and nobody had warned us. We couldn't sleep in once during our few days there, and I think a price reduction would have been fair. Once the work is finished, I'd recommend booking here. Thanks for having us.

The location was just right, near the end of Corso Umberto and close to the center, but far enough from the street noise to sleep. I stayed three nights in the Double Room, Terrace, and would come back if I return to Taormina. Communication was easy from the start. The staff got in touch by email the day before check-in and let me switch to WhatsApp, which I chose for quicker replies. They answered promptly, shared restaurant suggestions, and check-in was painless. Cleaning is available daily, and housekeeping only comes in when you put out the room tag. Everything was spotless, from the sheets and floor to the shower, sink, and toilet. The room seemed recently remodeled, and the bathroom was bigger than some I've had in privately run Italian apartments. I also appreciated the small touches: a password entry lock, memory foam mattress and pillows, USB ports under the bedside lamp, and coffee and tea bags replenished each day. The smart TV had Netflix and YouTube, which I don't often see in Italian hotels. I've stayed in more than ten places around Italy, and this was my favorite privately run apartment. I know this may sound like a sponsored review, but it isn't. Taormina is lovely, and staying here made the trip more memorable.
