Appartamento Sara

We’ll definitely return to Villa Sara. The place was spotless, cozy, and full of charm, with an incredible terrace view of the sea and Mt. Etna. Domenico made our stay special: he shared useful local tips and arranged a wonderfully relaxing, very affordable day at Mazzeo beach. One evening we asked if he happened to have a couple of beers for us to enjoy on the terrace before heading out. He brought two with a big smile and wouldn’t even charge us, though we were happy to pay. He really made us feel at home.

Those terrace views from the room were spectacular, and Domenico made a fantastic breakfast. He knows Sicily and the city inside out, from getting around and finding places to his recommendations, and he was honest and helpful with all of it. The best host we could have asked for. Thanks for a great two days, we hope to come back soon.

Villa Sara was a lovely way to begin our Sicily trip, and its position between the lively old town and quiet Castelmola worked perfectly for us. We booked the garage because parking on the narrow streets was difficult. Whenever we drove out, Domenico personally guided the traffic for us. The room was spacious, clean, and had high ceilings, plus its own terrace looking over Taormina, the sea, and Etna. Domenico welcomed us warmly and shared useful tips for the area and the rest of our trip. Breakfast in the salon was delicious each morning, and he even got lactose-free mozzarella and milk for me. On the day we left early for Etna, he saw us off in person with a packed lunch. Thanks again for such a lovely stay. We highly recommend Villa Sara. Kind regards from Babsi & Daniel.

Breakfast with a view of Etna was excellent, and Domenico was such a pleasure to meet. He really looks after his guests, shares lots of local tips, and was more involved and helpful than any host we’d met before. Our first visit to Villa Sara in Taormina definitely won’t be our last.
