The room was a decent size, with a little fridge and coffee machine that I really appreciated. The bathroom is small, but at 1,83m tall I was fine with it. Check-in was over the phone and took about a minute, and the owner was friendly. The location on Taormina’s Main Street is hard to beat, with lots nearby. After reading some of the other views I was a bit surprised, because I had a great stay. It’s no luxury place, but for the price compared with other options, it’s good value. I’d happily stay again.

We were meant to stay two nights, but the room was so gross that we left after one. It’s the worst hotel I’ve ever been to. The room was disgusting, with discolored furniture and a discolored headboard. It felt like being in prison. My mom used to stay in hostels and said this was worse. The bathroom was just as bad. There was no leg room around the toilet, so you had to sit sideways, and the shower felt so dirty I thought I’d be cleaner if I skipped it. There was no breakfast, even though it’s called a “B&B.” The owner was extremely rude when we first met. He practically scolded my mom and me for not answering his calls, but her phone was broken.

This was advertised as a B&B, but there was no breakfast. The tiny room had no window, just borrowed light, and felt claustrophobic. There wasn’t a kettle, glasses, cups and saucers, or cutlery. The shared kitchen was a disgrace, with cupboard doors falling off. There was no fire door protection, so escaping through the kitchen would be an absolute no-no. The kitchen window sill was also too low for safety. And so on.

Be careful or you could lose your money. The owner acts like a fraud and doesn’t refund it, while making double profit by renting the apartment twice for the same dates.
