Hotel Villa Nettuno

My favorite parts were the garden and the views, a lovely option in busy Taormina. Breakfast is typically Sicilian, with coffee, fruit, sweets, and yogurt, and it's served in the garden with a perfect view.

The room was excellent, and the view from the balcony was gorgeous: the whole garden in front of us and the sea off to the side. The bathroom was the biggest we had in Italy, and everything was spotless. The shutters, glass doors, and curtains on the balcony door help keep noise out. It's a quiet spot anyway, and very close to stores, the cable car, and the bus stop, all a two-minute walk away. There are lovely views of the lush garden, the sea, and the hilltop homes from several places around the villa, including the shared balconies by the first-floor entry and on the second floor, plus the garden tables. Breakfast is worth 6€ each, with fresh espresso-based coffees, pastries, fruit, yogurt, cold fruit-infused water, and tea. The staff are kind and available to help. Highly recommend. Just be careful with the curtains propped in the windows, they're delicate and aren't meant to be pulled aside.

The garden at Hotel Villa Nettuno felt like a hidden treasure, with a lovely view of the coastline and mountains while we ate breakfast. Our mountain-view room had a terrace too, a nice place to enjoy a takeaway spirtz from the kiosk next door. The location is excellent, a short walk from the central bus terminal and the iconic archway into the Taormina high street. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Antonella was especially lovely and had great suggestions for places to visit and things to do. Her advice really added to our time in Taormina. Another very handsome member of staff brightened up our trip too, and can be seen in the photo. This was one of my best travel experiences, and I'd gladly stay again. The garden where breakfast is served is lovely, with a great view, and the location is very good. For Taormina, this older property is also very reasonably priced. The room was okay, but the mattress could be better, and the water pressure and hot water were sporadic. There isn't an indoor place to relax outside your room. The many stairs are the biggest problem if you have limited mobility. It feels like a funeral parlor.
