Villa Schuler Garden Suite

Breakfast was a real highlight, with fresh ingredients, beautifully prepared à la carte dishes, and caring service. Our room was bright, spotless, and nicely decorated, with every comfort we wanted. The cleanliness and upkeep were impressive. Hotel Villa Schuler has so much charm and elegance, and the view and atmosphere won us over as soon as we arrived. We definitely plan to return, and would recommend it to anyone visiting Taormina. A little oasis that deserves top marks.

We skipped breakfast this time, but after seeing the setup from our balcony, I wish we'd included it. It looked amazing. Our two nights in the Sea View room were wonderful: the decor, overall look, staff, and service were all top quality. It felt like great value, with a beautiful ambience, and I'd happily recommend the hotel. Can't wait to come back.

The staff made things so relaxing for us, even offering a shower and somewhere to lounge after checkout because we had an overnight train to Rome. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the rooms are incredible. We loved wandering and relaxing in the back garden, which also leads easily to Taormina's main walking strip. From the patio, the water and mountain views are stunning. Paid partner shuttles run to and from the beach, though their timing felt a little restrictive. You can take the cable car down instead and explore at your own pace, which I'd recommend. I was obsessed with this place, one of my favorite hotels ever. Highly recommend staying here.

We slept well and housekeeping kept the room clean and nicely arranged each day. The breakfast was generous and delicious, with beautiful presentation, and the staff there were wonderful. Rosita especially made every morning feel special. The breakfast room and its views are breathtaking. The hotel itself has loads of character and beautiful interiors, almost like a historic movie set, and its location is close to everything while still feeling peaceful and authentic. We chose a courtyard-facing room by mistake, and the view was just rooftops. We wanted to upgrade to a sea- or garden-view room, but the hotel was full, so book one of those views if they matter to you. Check-in was slow and very procedural after a long trip. As I was visibly pregnant, a little more flexibility would have helped; it would have been nice to rest first and finish the passports, luggage, forms, and photos later. Arriving by car was stressful, especially in the dark. We had little advance information about where to stop or how valet parking worked, and the narrow one-way mountain streets made it confusing when we were tired. The valet eventually put the car in the garage, but clearer directions would help. Reception could be more attentive and coordinated, and once they even brought out the wrong car. Despite those issues, I'd return, and next time I'd book a room with a sea or garden view.
