The poolside and terrace overlooking Etna were gorgeous. We stayed three nights at this cute, peaceful place, full of nature and blooming roses. The staff were super friendly and attentive, and made us feel at home. The rooms were cozy and clean, with room service taking good care of them every day. Totally recommend.

The staff were absolutely lovely, and the view was beautiful. But we really didn’t enjoy our stay. We’d booked thinking it was a ten-minute drive to Taormina town centre, which was our mistake. This place seems suited to people with a car who want to cook for themselves and stay in the middle of nowhere. The rooms were big and the beds comfortable enough, but using the shower wet room soaked the whole bathroom. Nobody cleaned our room during our two-night stay, and you have to order lunch or dinner in advance or you won’t eat. The hill takes 15 minutes to walk, is completely dark at night, and the area didn’t feel nice or safe. We saw some scary things happening nearby. The owner never introduced herself. I think it was because we told staff we weren’t happy with some things when we arrived, though a good business owner would have made time to apologize and be friendly. I don’t think she knew I understood Italian. At checkout I heard her swearing, “they can F off,” and we happily did.

The outdoor area, especially the pool and terrace with its view of Etna, was a real highlight. The house was beautifully cared for, and the landscape was lovely. Holiday home to chill really lives up to its name, it felt like home in a relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was very good, the hosts were attentive and nice, and they gave us great recommendations for the area. All covid rules were fully respected.

You’ll need a car to reach the house, but it’s conveniently close to Taormina, Etna, and the beaches. We had breakfast on the cozy terrace with views of both Etna and the sea. The staff were attentive, and the garden with its citrus trees was gorgeous. Highly recommended.
