Villa Arianna

Salvo made our anniversary extra special with a personalized wooden engraving for us to take home. That kind of care carried through the whole stay at Villa Arianna. He and Maria Pia messaged us before we arrived to help us find them and answer our questions, met us in the parking lot, showed us to the accommodation, carried our luggage, and welcomed us with a bottle of wine. With only 4 rooms, they could give guests very personal attention, and they were sincerely attentive to our needs. Our room was immaculate and lovely, decorated in traditional Sicilian style. Its large terrace looked straight out over the Mediterranean and had a table and 2 sunbeds. Breakfast came to the room at whatever time we asked, with plenty of fresh local fruit and everything we could want. There were no fixed breakfast hours like in regular hotels. Salvo also took time to explain Taormina and printed maps of nearby places we might want to see. The location was great, directly across from the beach, with several restaurants just steps away and the Gondola to the famous town of Taormina a 1 minute walk away. Checkout was at 10.00, but we wanted to visit town before leaving, so they let us use a free room to store our luggage and shower until our afternoon departure. Salvo wouldn't accept payment when I tried to pay. It was unbelievable kindness. We enjoyed the beautiful room, the spotless presentation, the fantastic ocean view across the street, the excellent breakfast on our own schedule, and above all the hosts' thoughtfulness. If you're lucky enough to get one of the 4 rooms on your next visit to Taormina, you won't regret it.

Salvo and Maria Pia's thoughtfulness and kindness made our stay in Taormina-Mazzarò unforgettable. They put together personal itineraries for us, with our names on them, and left lovely little surprises for us each day after breakfast. We enjoyed chatting with them and felt so welcome thanks to their positive energy. The location is ideal, close to the cable car and just steps from the beach, while being more peaceful than Taormina center. We also had a stunning view from our private patio. Breakfast on the private terrace each day is something we'll always remember, and the rooms were pristine. Salvo and Pia were the sweetest, kindest hosts we've ever had, with hospitality that was 100/10. The view was incredible, and the location couldn't be beat, a 5 minute walk to the nicest beach and cafes and restaurants within walking distance, plus 5 minutes to the cable car into the centre of Taormina. You need to stay here. We'll 100% be back 😊

Even a year after our stay, my husband and I still talk about how wonderful it was. The romantic breakfast on the balcony was a highlight among all the other great things. The hosts were fantastic. If everyone were as kind and caring as the Salvo family, it would be peace on earth. Such an amazing experience.
