Villa Gaia

The patio we shared with a few other guests had great views of Mt. Etna. Our room was a little small, but it is an old Villa, and there were several flights of stairs to reach it, though they weren't difficult. We stayed at Villa Gaia for 4 nights and enjoyed it very much. It's close to everything, yet tucked away and private. Just outside the gate near Porta Catania are local, non-touristy restaurants, including Trattoria Da Ugo and Malavasia, plus a Deco grocery store with lower prices than in Taormina's main area. We bought treats for the local kitties. Josephine and her staff were wonderful hosts. Recommended.

Villa Gaia is in a perfect location, and the host was so kind and helpful throughout our stay earlier this month. She went above and beyond, and we really appreciated the conversation and assistance. Thank you to everyone at Villa Gaia for making it such a lovely stay. I couldn't recommend it more.

There are two patios: one just outside the room, shared with two or three other rooms, and another downstairs under the citrus trees. The place is calm, but only a short walk from the centre of Taormina. Our room was clean, with art deco styling and Sicilian colours. The host and staff were welcoming and helpful. A special thanks to the woman who greeted us, though I'm sorry I can't remember her name. It was a great stay, and I'll definitely choose Villa Gaia if I return to Taormina.

Rooms were clean, and ours had a lovely view over the sea and Etna. I also loved the interior design and the beautiful building in the centre of town. The friendly staff were really helpful. We could relax in the terrace garden, and the Main Street in Taormina was within walking distance. Villa Gaia felt like a little oasis in the heart of Taormina. Highly recommended.
