Villa Valentina

Alessandro and his wife were wonderful hosts, ready to share as much local information as we needed. Breakfast was generous, from croissants and other pastries to cold cuts and cheese, and we could eat inside or out on the terrace while little lizards darted around. Our ground-floor room was very nice, though the storage was laid out a bit oddly. Keep both doors shut or the lizards may get in, we found one on the floor after breakfast. Parking is inside the gates, with a path through to the garden. The villa sits among orange and other citrus trees, with a view of Mount Etna. Getting in touch with Alessandro to book was easy, and he and his wife welcomed us warmly even though we arrived late at night. He gave us useful local tips and was keen to make us cold greek espresso coffee. The place is tucked among green orchards, very clean and well cared for, and felt like home. If you want to see Taormina without staying in its busy alleys, this is a great place. We had amazing hospitality and would highly recommend it.

We stayed two nights in the “Classic” rooms. The rooms were clean, the area was very quiet, and the rate was good. Laura and Alessandro were extremely kind, gave us great restaurant tips, and breakfast's pistachio croissants were amazing. There's a view of Etna and orange trees all around, but you'll need a car. Definitely recommend!

We liked it so much that we added an extra night. It's a quiet spot away from the crowds, and we were lucky to be there when the oranges were in season. The smell was amazing. The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was GREAT, and the owners are kind, wonderful people. Highly recommended! Ask for Kirra the dog too, she was fun to play with!
