Dusmè

The location is great, but that doesn't make up for all the problems. The Pink room has bits falling apart or coming loose in your hand, including sockets that don't work properly. The bed has a dip from missing slats, the faucet handle comes off in your hand, and loud Old Fashioned music kept us awake at night. The apartment coffee machine didn't work, so in 10 days we never managed to make coffee there. They offered one coffee a day at the downstairs café, since it belongs to the same family, but even asking for a double meant paying extra for just a few more drops of water. The wifi was awful the whole stay, so use your cellular connection. Piero and the cleaning lady are very nice and always available, but there's serious work to do. A paper in the room promised free breakfast with croissants, jam, and toast in the room, plus lunch at Oldfashion like at Spicchi e Morsi with a complimentary dessert. There were no croissants. We had lunch at Oldfashion yesterday and dinner at Spicchi e Morsi a few days earlier, after telling them we were staying at Dusmè, but got no dessert. After we reported on Google that the coffee machine was broken, we found another broken one on our last day. It felt like we were being teased.
