The room felt cozy and country-style, and it was very clean. Alessandro helped us with everything from local wineries and food to things to do. The people of Taurasi, along with Alessandro, made the stay special.

We spent two nights here over three days, and it was a lovely quiet base in the historic center. The town's been completely renovated, with the bell tower opposite and the castle just 10 meters away. I visited the castle with Alessandra, a special guide who was both professional and passionate. Mr. Alessandro, the owner, was friendly but discreet. The shopkeepers were warm and always had good tips. I also went to Trattoria Nonna Ionnie and Pizzeria Fantasia, where the pizza was excellent, and found a well-stocked tobacconist and bazaar run by friendly, professional owners. A great place to get away from city chaos and enjoy a few peaceful days.

The owner, Michele, was kind and helpful, and his care and affection for the region came through during our stay. Al Campanaro sits in the historic center of Taurasi, among Irpinia's narrow, history-filled streets and traditions, especially those tied to Taurasi DOCG wine, which is known around the world. The rooms are welcoming, very clean, and carefully kept, with tasteful, understated decor and furniture that gives them warmth and a sense of authenticity. A good choice for a relaxing, genuine stay with warm hospitality and a chance to enjoy Irpinia's food and wine.
