Charming Chianti Retreat

The room was roomy, though the one I had came with an ant problem. The keys were a little tricky to use, but staff came to help quickly. Service was welcoming and they were very willing to make up for mistakes.

The restaurant food was really good, and I wasn't disappointed with anything I ate. The dishes looked nice too. We had a clean apartment with a decent amount of space, a very small kitchenette, and a comfortable bed. Our corner unit was a lucky break, since it came with a big balcony. The pool was nice but cold, as it isn't heated, and the hard plastic loungers could use cushions. Staff gave us a friendly welcome at this nice little resort.

We enjoyed the roomy apartment and big balcony, and it was a nice place to spend a week. Still, a few little fixes would help: the shower curtain was dirty, there was mold in the shower, no toilet paper holder, and the shower water drained badly. The wifi was slow, and the front door could only be locked from outside. A Dutch channel was available, but had no sound. When we reported problems, nothing was done, or it was dealt with only after a few days.

There are good facilities here, and it’s a nice base for exploring. But an unjustified review from management after our Air B and B booking spoiled the stay. The wifi isn't good, and the place needs repairs. Such a shame, because it could be much better.
