Cris&Giuli House

Jango the dog is a great bonus. The place is friendly, comfortable, and cheap.

We had a Bialetti coffee maker, which was great. The B&B has modern decor and tasteful furnishings, on a quiet, peaceful residential street, and it’s well located for nearby towns and attractions. Since it was still cold, the lack of heating was a problem. We tried the air conditioning, but its highest setting was 21-22°C. There was just one large shower towel, so we had to ask for at least two small towels for the bidet.

The building is new and has potential, and the mattresses were very comfortable. We stayed two days to visit Chianti, and getting to the points of interest was fairly easy. But the common area was shockingly dirty, with food covered in months-old mold in the fridge. The room was barely usable and the bathroom was tiny. They supplied only a shower towel, with none for the bidet or face.

The room noise was the main problem for me. At night, you could hear everything happening elsewhere in the building, and even adding seals around the door might help. The bathroom was clean but cramped, with no bidet and a built-in shower. For the price, though, it's a great B&B if you just need somewhere for a quick night. For a vacation, um, I'm less sure.
