Mancaversa Apartments

The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was a real plus. The apartment looked like the photos, with a minimal style and just the basics, but a few things made the stay less comfortable. About four or five outlets didn't work, and we hadn't been told about that. The mattress had unhygienic stains, and so did the sofa bed and pillows. Hot water was hit or miss. Personally, I found the bed so uncomfortable that my back hurt throughout the stay. The owners explained their waste rules clearly, which is understandable, but didn't show us how things in the apartment worked. They came across as rather surly and unkind, perhaps because we were young. The stay was acceptable, though these problems did affect our experience.

The shared patio was one of my favorite parts of the residence. It was beautifully planted with native greenery, and had sofas and tables where we often sat with morning coffee or relaxed in the evening before going into town. We visited with family in early September, and our simple apartment was spacious, bright and had everything we needed to feel at home. It would work well for families with children or larger groups. We could walk to the Marina di Mancaversa beach, children's playground, restaurants and bars, so the location suited us perfectly. The staff were always smiling, kind and ready with suggestions for places to see. Reception also arranged services like boat rentals and tours, which was very convenient. We had a wonderful holiday and would happily stay here again when we return to this beautiful area.

We had a relaxing stay in a quiet area, with secure parking right in front of the apartment. The staff were friendly, kind and incredibly helpful. The house was large, bright and fully equipped, and the location made it easy to walk to the tobacconist, supermarket, bar and sea. The shore has both pebbles and sand, plus a small play area for children and two kiosks. Gallipoli and Leuca are not far for lovely excursions. A good choice for families or groups of young people.
